About us
The CIO Workshop was created and piloted by Accenture in the USA in 1986. In 1988, Accenture brought the CIO Workshop to Singapore for the first time and jointly organised it in partnership with the Information Technology Management Association (ITMA). The ITMA was previously known as the Data Processing Management Association of Singapore. After almost four decades, the CIO Workshop has become the longest-running annual forum where CIOs gain insights on the latest technologies, learn from leading industry experts and network with peers from both large private and public organisations.
In 2000, the event set a new standard with its dual-location format. Since then, delegates have had the opportunity to travel, learn from, and network with their peers from another Asian city during the second leg of the workshop. Past destinations have included Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
