The CIO Workshop will include a 1.5-day visit to World Expo 2025, hosted in Osaka.
Situated on the 155-hectare artificial island of Yumeshima, the World Expo 2025 is themed "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." Over 150 countries and industries from around the globe will showcase their cutting-edge technologies and innovations, addressing pressing global challenges and shaping the future across eight thematic zones.

On a day trip to Kyoto, explore cutting-edge innovations in AI, healthcare, and life sciences—sectors where Japan excels—while networking with the city's agile startup ecosystem, known for rapid experimentation and iterative innovation.
What you can experience:
Kyoto University
Learn from leading experts in AI and life science R&D through seminars, panel discussions and site visits to innovation labs at the University, to gain insights into commercialising AI and life sciences innovations.
This session includes a seminar by Dr Junichi Tsujii, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and a panel discussion with Kyoto University start-ups to discuss how human-centred AI is driving quality of life.
Participants will also have the chance to visit the Center for iPS Cells Research and Application (CiRA) with insights into the centre's role in fostering collaboration and the role of data & AI in basic iPS cells research and its translation into clinical applications, addressing critical healthcare challenges; as well as experience a technology showcase from the Institute for Advancement of Clinical and Translational Science, to discuss recent advancements in the field of clinical and translational science.
